Good Luck/Leaving

A colleague is leaving work soon so I made this card for them. I thought the image was quite sweet with the packing case.

I have used Forever Friends backing paper and imge from the Triple CD. Craftwork cards 6 x 6 square card and pink cardstock. I have used the Swiss Dots cuttlebug embossing folder and Honey and Hugs rub on letters. The ribbon was originally white but I used promarkers to colour it to match my project.

Thanks for visiting and for any comments you may leave.

Take care!

Going Dotty!

Hi all,

Just a quick Tilda card made from leftovers (again lol!)

White square card (Craftwork cards), Red cardstock.

The papers were from a paper stack called 'Sweet Wishes' which came with Papercraft Essentials magazine a while ago now.

Have added a bought sentiment which was originally silver but was coloured with promarkers. Tilda image was also coloured with promarkers.
The ribbon and gems were from my stash.

Well not much else happening at the mo so off to make some more cards. Back at work next week so won't have time then lol!

Please feel free to leave a comment (if you can - I can't leave comments on some blogs - apologies) and thank you to everyone who has left comments for me - they are much appreciated.

First Christmas card

Evening everyone. Not been around for a while. Had to make a challenge card so I thought I would share it with you.

It is my first Christmas card..

I made this card using mainly elements from the Forever Friends Retro Christmas CD. The papers, image and sentiment all came from the CD. (sorry the picture isn't brilliant)

I used a bit of Diamond Sparkles glitter but the only other extras were the ribbon and some sequin snowflakes. (from stash)

Thanks for visiting and please feel free to leave a comment if you wish. (They are always appreciated)

Bye for now

Everything is Hunkydory!

Hello again.

I have just recently made this card using all things Hunkydory.  Well the Silk Art Card and Sentiments anyway.  Unfortunately though - I'm no great shakes at taking pictures so the sentiments are hard to read.  One says 'Precious few are friends like you' and the other reads 'You are the pick of the bunch'

I have mounted the 'Raspberry' silk art card onto Silver mirror board.  I have also used the Papermania 'Victorian Fleur' embossing folder for the centre panels. The card black was made from a cut-down A4 sheet and now measures 6" x 6".

This is quite a different look for me as I usually go for the cutesie images (e.g Tatty Ted and Forever Friends etc) but I am quite pleased with this so might try a few more different styles.

Thanks so much for visiting and any comments you may leave are much appreciated.

See you soon

Doesn't time fly??

Well - here I am again.  I really do need to visit/post more often but the time just flies and before you know it - a month has gone by lol.

Anyhoo, I thought I would share my latest cards with you.  This Tilda card has been made using leftovers in my stash. Tilda herself has been coloured in and waiting patiently for ages to be used on a card. So whilst I was sorting a few things out, I found the papers to go with her.

I have used Dried Marigold distress ink around the image and the sentiment.  However, because these are two different card types, the effect/colour is different.  The paper at the back is from K & Co and the paper at the front came free with a magazine.

The flowers were originally yellow and white but i changed the colour with a Ginger promarker (Am waiting for my Flexmarkers and getting impatient).  Finished with a papermania capsules ribbon (from the original yellow set that came in the goody bag a couple of years ago.

The next card is a wedding card I made.  Its using Papermania Confetti backing paper and a Little Claire stamp.  The flowers were from Wild Orchid and the heart shapes were cut using the new Xcut dies.

The lace was bought from a craft stall in Fleetwood market.  They had lots with different coloured edges.

So - that's what I've been up to for now.  Must get cracking on the Christmas cards I think - everyone's leaving me behind.  Hope to be back soon with more cards - just need a push!

Thanks for visiting and for any comments you may leave.

I've been practising!!!!!

Hi all - hope you are well.

I decided to enter the Tilda challenge on Docrafts and the criteria is NO ALCOHOL PENS. (eek!). In light of this I thought I would practice using other mediums (with varyng results lol!)

The first attempt is usng Aquamarkers. As I was only playing, I thought I would use some cheap watercolour card - not a good idea. As you can see, the colours bled and leaked all over - even when using just a bit of water - I have learnt my lesson!

The next attempt was using distress inks (and better watercolour card) Although slightly better, I need to practice more with these - Tilda looks as though she's been exercising - a lot lol!

Lastly, I went back to the aqua markers  and tried again.  Things are getting better but i think I probably need a bit more practce - maybe another couple of years lol!

Please feel free to leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

thanks

It really has been ages!!!!!

My - I can't believe how fast time seems to be going lately.  I think I must be losing the plot lol!  Anyway, I thought I would put up a post as I think I was forgetting how to do it!

Am lucky enough to have a couple of weeks off work where I hope to get some crafting done and maybe put something more interesting on here.

Might as well get started.  Hope you're all having a wonderful time
Bye for now

First post for ages......................

Well here I am again.  It's been such a long time - I thought I'd never get chance to post anything lol!

Anyhoo, I made a Tatty Ted card yesterday using the new Docrafts Tatty Ted products and some things I had in my stash. I used Tatty Ted 8 x 8 papers and stickers.  I used green cardstock and matching ribbon.  The card candy is coloured with Promarkers as I didn't have any matching ones but I don't think they turned out too bad.

And with the leftovers.............................

I made this Tilda card.

I really like the blue/green colour and the papers go well. (please tell me if I'm wrong lol).  Again I used ribbon and gems from my stash.  The flowers are made with the Xcut Hydrangea punch and layered up.  Card candy for centres.

Well hope you like these. Please feel free to leave a comment.
See you soon

Here I am again!

Well can you believe it - I can't  TWO posts in the same week - I usually go about a month between posts.

Anyway,  Just thought I would share with you my first LOTV card.  I bought this stamp this week as I thought it was so gorgeous.  Not quite sure I have done it justice!
This is the card I have used for the LOTV challenge over on docrafts.
I used a My Craft Studio backing paper which I changed the colour of to match the card. LOTV Fairy on tipfoe stamp - coloured with promarkers and mounted onto a scalloped circle cut from glitter card using a nestie.  I used an X-cut punch for the border.  Ribbon and gems from my stash.  The sentiment is a printed one I made myself.

Thanks for visiting today and please feel free to leave a comment.  Back soon!

Something different........

Well, something different for me!

Good evening everyone.  Hope you re all well.

I thought I would try something a little bit different with my latest card.  Its using darker colours than I usually use.  I usually go for pale or pastel colours for backing papers and things but thought I would give this a go.  Please let me know what you think!

I've decorated the inside of this card too instead of just adding an insert.  I have also made a complimentary box instead of an envelope.

The stamp is Sugar Nellie - design by Elisabeth Bell but unfortunately, I do not know thae name and I believe it is now discontinued.  If anyone can enlighten me I would be grateful.

Supplies used are K & Co Papers, Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Xcut border punch.  Lace and ribbon from my local haberdashery.

Thanks for visiting and please feel free to leave a comment - they are always appreciated.

Time flies ...............................

Well its been absolutely ages since I last posted.  Can't believe that even though I'm off work at the minute, I still can't sem to find time to catch up with anything!.

Anyway, I thought i would share with you my first Double Twisted easel card.  I made this for my daughter-in-law.

It was made using some holographic card from Create and Craft, Purple cardstock and the main image and sentiments from the Forever Friends Black and Gold CD Rom.

Thanks for looking and for any comments left.

It's been a while

Hi everyone.

It has been a while since my last post but these past few weeks I have found that I seem to have less and less time to do anything.  I think I need a long, long holiday so that I can enter loads of challenges and keep up with blogs and galleries lol!

Anyhoo - here are two of my latest Tilda offerings.  On the blue one, I have coloured around the Tilda image itself and it seems to make the image stand out better - let me know what you think.  I also used Sue Wilson's trick of cutting outside the nestie, which I think is a cool trick.
Thanks for visiting - hope you come back soon.
